Dry Wood Termite is about 0.5cm-0.7cm in length. It is very small from our normal perspective.
Dry Wood Termite is usually a pale brownish-beige color.
Dry Wood Termites like to hang out at your chair and old antique (made of wood). Normally how you can spot them is that you start to see small poo-poo droplets near your furniture or antique pieces. You also start to see certain wood elements of your furniture has been damaged.
Fun Fact: Do you know that the termites can spread from 1 to 5,000 in as little as a few weeks? These termites feast on dry timbers and wood and you must take care to prevent this from happening. Else, all your precious antique pieces will be gone very soon before you know it!
Damp Wood Termites
Damp Wood Termite can grow to about 0.5cm-1cm in length.
Damp Wood Termite is usually brownish red in color
Damp Wood Termites are usually found in landed properties gardens (some fallen rotten branches), dead trees in the gardens and etc. These termites do make a home in the soil but they actually live inside the dead branches. The reason is because the termites prefer to live in a damp and semi-wet condition.
